Quicklycv is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information from both the website and the browser extension.

1. Website Data Collection

Currently, Quicklycv does not process payments. For registered users, we collect:

  • Profile Information: Name, email, and other profile data required for resume generation.
  • Generated Resumes: Resumes created via the website are associated with your account and stored securely. You may view, edit, or download these resumes.
  • Usage Data: Optional analytics (page views, session duration) may be collected to improve the website experience.

Important: We do not store job descriptions submitted for resume generation.

2. Browser Extension Data Collection

  • Stored API Key: The only information stored locally is your API key to authenticate requests.
  • Job Descriptions: Only temporarily sent to the backend when you click “Generate Resume”; the extension does not store job descriptions.
  • Downloads: Generated resumes are downloaded as PDF; no other data is stored locally by the extension.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Generate, store, and deliver resumes associated with your account.
  • Improve the website and extension experience.
  • Provide basic account functionality (profile, saved resumes).
  • No job descriptions are stored, sold, or shared.

4. Data Sharing

  • Hosting/Infrastructure: Vercel, Azure
  • Analytics Tools: PostHog, Mixpanel, Sentry
  • Legal Compliance: If required by law or to protect rights or property

Generated resumes and profile data remain under your ownership.

5. Data Security

  • API keys and profile data are encrypted at rest and in transit.
  • Regular security monitoring is in place (Sentry, LogRocket).
  • Job descriptions are never stored, minimizing exposure risk.

6. Data Retention

  • Profile data and generated resumes are retained as long as your account exists.
  • Job descriptions submitted via the extension are transient and never stored.

7. User Rights

  • Access, correction, or deletion of your profile data and stored resumes.
  • Data export of your resumes.

8. Extension Permissions

  • Storage: To save your API key locally.
  • Downloads: To allow downloaded resumes as PDFs.
  • No page content is accessed.
  • No scripts are injected.

9. Cookies & Tracking

Minimal cookies are used for website functionality. Analytics are optional and anonymized.

10. Third-Party Links

Links to job boards or other websites are external. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
