  • Profile Data: Employment history, education, skills, and other details entered into your Quicklycv profile for resume generation.
  • Generated Resumes: Resumes created by the Service, which belong to you and are stored securely to enable editing and downloading. Free Plan resumes include a watermark. You are free to use, modify, or share these resumes without attributing Quicklycv.
  • Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the Service, such as pages visited, features used, and session duration, collected via analytics tools like PostHog or Mixpanel.
  • Payment Information: Billing details processed through PayFast for subscription plans. We do not store full payment card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Generate, store, and deliver tailored resumes based on your profile and subscription plan, including applying watermarks to Free Plan resumes.
  • Provide and improve the Service, including AI algorithms and user experience.
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions.
  • Send account-related communications, such as subscription confirmations or updates to our Terms.
  • Analyze usage patterns to enhance functionality and troubleshoot issues.
  • Comply with legal obligations, such as record-keeping or responding to legal requests.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information or generated resumes. We may share your information with:

  • Service Providers: Third-party providers like PayFast, Stripe, Vercel, Azure, and analytics tools (PostHog, Mixpanel, LogRocket, Sentry) to support the Service, including watermark application for Free Plan resumes. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
  • Legal Compliance: If required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Quicklycv or others.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to a successor entity, but your ownership and rights to use generated resumes remain unaffected.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including:

  • Encryption of resume data and profile information at rest and in transit.
  • Secure authentication via NextAuth (Auth 5).
  • Regular security audits and monitoring via LogRocket and Sentry.
Despite these measures, no online service is completely secure, and you use the Service at your own risk.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information and generated resumes for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Free Plan resumes with watermarks are stored in the same manner as paid plan resumes. You may request deletion of your data, including all generated resumes, via your account settings or by contacting us. We may retain certain data for legal or backup purposes as required by law.

6. Your Rights

Under POPIA and other applicable laws, you have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal information and generated resumes.
  • Object to or restrict the processing of your data.
  • Request data portability (e.g., export your profile or resumes, including watermarked versions).
